Hawaii jewelry designer Deanna Kiersz began making jewelry in her jungle home in Maui in the 1980s. She soon passed along her love of jewelry making to her daughter Danielle who was always alongside of her crafting. Danielle later found inspiration in her travels to Tahiti and began sourcing the most seductive Tahitian pearls. Thus, their Tahitian pearl and leather jewelry label Ella May was born. After birthing a beautiful baby boy, Leo Cuzco, the mother-daughter duo began making amber teething necklaces accented with Tahitian pearls. Their 2016 collection now features a complete line of women's jewelry and a few cherished items for children ("keiki" in Hawaiian).
